A new fight which comes three days after the death of a teenager stabbed in Paris. This Friday, December 20, 2024, a brawl broke out in front of a high school in Colombes in Hauts-de-Seine. A young person was injured with a knife. Another was arrested. An investigation into aggravated violence has been opened, the Nanterre public prosecutor tells us.
Injured hand and thigh
The events took place around noon near the Guy-de-Maupassant high school. A fight broke out between several individuals. A knife was then pulled out. One of the young people, a minor, was stabbed in the hand and thigh, a source close to the case tells us. THE SAMU went to the scene to take care of it.
Shortly after this brawl, a person was arrested, the prosecution tells us. An investigation is underway for aggravated violence. The investigations were entrusted to the Colombes police station. The circumstances of this fight remain to be determined for the moment.
A growing phenomenon
Brawls between rival gangs are on the rise in the Paris region. According to the Police Prefecture, 319 acts of gang-related violence took place in the first nine months of 2024, compared to 301 in 2023. Tuesday December 17, 2024, a teenager from Val-de-Marne was stabbed to death in a clash in front of the Rodin high school in Paris.
