During the last council of the year 2024, Tuesday December 10the community elected officials of Lorient Agglomération spoke about the fate of two fire stations of Morbihan.
What is planned at Hennebont?
There are plans to reorganize and expand the Hennebont fire and rescue center (CIS).
The departmental fire and rescue service (SDIS) plans to carry out various works concerning the refectory, kitchen, foyer, changing rooms, gym and vehicle parking.
“The CIS of Hennebont being owned by Lorient Agglomération, it is the intercommunality which ensures the project management of the operation estimated at 3,9 millions d’euros HT », indicates the community which provides for a deduction after potential state aid. The Department should provide a financial contribution of 50% of the remainder.
What about the Inguiniel barracks?
It is planned to rebuild the CIS of Inguiniel, owned by Lorient Agglomération with the integration in 2014 of the former community of communes of Plouay.
Plan A falls through:
The first intentions were aimed at renovating and improving the barracks with the creation of new changing rooms for women, reorganization of traffic flows, extension of the vehicle storage space, creation of a maneuvering area and an installation for cleaning vehicles.
A plan B is retained on another site:
However, the feasibility study concluded that in situ reconstruction was impossible. SDIS 56 therefore identified a new site, on a proposal from the town hall, on municipal land.
Lorient Agglomération will ensure project management, land management and construction. The cost of the work is estimated at 1.8 million euros excluding tax with financial assistance from the Department of 20% of the total amount, capped at 2 million euros excluding tax and 2,000 euros excluding tax/m².
