The various elected signatories of the Convention present at the Grandes Locos
On Wednesday, December 18, the signing of the convention for artistic education and cultural action in the political districts of the city took place. The objective is to allow everyone access to culture and to promote inclusion through it.
It was in the Grandes Locos de la Mulatière hangar that the signing ceremony for partnerships for artistic education and cultural action in the political districts of the city was held on Wednesday, December 18. A symbolic place for this partnership aimed at providing access to artistic and cultural spaces for all.
By signing this agreement, the various signatories undertake to mobilize resources to allow wider access to the arts and culture in all artistic fields and for all.
A project supported by the Métropole de Lyon, constituting a “a real lever in the fight against inequalities and a path to emancipation”as highlighted by Bruno Bernard, president of the Metropolis. A struggle carried out through different projects, such as the development and support of artistic and cultural education projects throughout the territory and within educational establishments.
Committed cultural actors
Among the cultural actors supported and committed, the Festival des Nuits de Fourvières: “Through different artistic and cultural projects, the event attempts each year to be as inclusive as possible,” explains Fanny Badey, responsible for mediation and relations with the festival public. To this end, the event is implementing several initiatives, including those of “voyages”in collaboration with the City of Vaulx-en-Velin. The objective is to bring together several acrobats within the municipality, in order to offer shows and exchanges with the public: “This meeting with a community allows us to co-construct a common project that makes sense for everyone”explains Fanny Badey.
The opportunity to create a real network between the different municipalities of the Metropolis and to relocate cultural activities from the city center, so that all the inhabitants of the Metropolis can benefit from them.
The Metropolis of Lyon is committed
Despite the budgetary problems facing the Metropolis, Bruno Bernard affirms: “Art must not be jeopardized, culture will not be sacrificed in the budget”. The Métropole de Lyon is therefore committed to continuing its cultural action, confirming that: “culture is a common good and an important basis for building a fairer society”.
