Since Tuesday, December 17, the problem has been resolved, the Beauvais club has formalized the arrival of its new qualified coach, Jérôme Brocard, 50, whom Sébastien Piocelle had also met upon his arrival at the club. “Beyond the youth project, I wanted there to be a strong Beauvaisian or even local identity, I spoke with a lot of former players, and in particular graduates, underlines the general manager of the club, Sébastien Piocelle, who was considering the installation, rather for the following season, of a Beauvais staff. It remains to be seen how the duo in place (Elie-Sacko) and Jérôme Brocard will find their feet knowing that the ASBO director office has appreciated the first steps of the former, at the head of the first team, for a little over ‘one month. “We are satisfied with the work done on the ground but also outside and we wanted to continue on this, the idea is not to turn everything upside down”specifies in advance the general manager for whom it is important to ensure continuity in the work carried out. “What is certain is that Jérôme is the holder of the diploma, he arrives as a coach, he will be there with the group and with the staff, I think that Jérôme is the ideal person to continue and carry out the season.
The truce should therefore be studious in Beauvais, which Jérôme Brocard confirms: “we have several work meetings and we are going to lay the foundations of our work”. According to the new coach’s first impressions, getting along with the existing staff should not be complicated. “We have already laid certain foundations, we agree on many areas, in terms of operation, with things that they have put in place or that they will put in place. We also agree on the principles of play”.
This is good because the Beauvaisiens will only have a short break with resumption of training set for December 29 to play their late match, in Biesheim, on January 4, 2025.
