Corinne and Camille Bénichou, from the Club Danse Passion de Muret, won the title of French Champion in 10 dances during the championship which took place in Reims.
Three couples from the Club Danse Passion de Muret performed brilliantly during the French 10 Dances Championship which was held in Reims recently.
Lucie & Diego took 6th place in the Young Hopes category, while Kay & Mathieu finished 4th in Senior 4. The triumph came from Corinne & Camille, who won their second consecutive French Champions title in Senior 3. Corinne Benichou, 59, has been dancing with her husband Camille since 2006: “We started late, but thanks to our perseverance, we progressed. After our competitive debut in 2010, we won our first title in 2023. The 10 Dances combine five Latin dances and five standard dances, and the average performance determines the ranking. » Corinne insists on the importance of training: “We spend hours with our coach Laurent Françon. Seeing our efforts rewarded is an immense satisfaction. » The couple is also praised for their communicative energy: “The public’s enthusiasm is an inestimable gift. This affects us as much as the judges. » After this success, they are aiming for the Regional Championships in February, while preparing the show “Un Dessin Animé Almost Perfect”, scheduled for March 8, 2025 in Muret.
