“They stole all the grandchildren’s presents”: Marie-France, 80, was robbed a few days before New Year’s Eve

Santa Claus will not come this year for Marie-France’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On the night of Saturday December 14 to Sunday December 15, 2024, the garage of this 80-year-old lady, resident of a Rennes resident (Ille-et-Vilaine), was broken into. However, the octogenarian had stored all the gifts intended for his family there, wrapped and ready to be placed under the tree. The same night, several other individual boxes were vandalized without any trace of break-in, reports West France.

In her complaint to the police, Marie-France made an inventory of the stolen gifts. Toys, books, gift cards… In total, the damage amounts to 1,072 euros. “They stole all the grandchildren’s presents… Now there is nothing left,” sighs the octogenarian’s granddaughter toWest Francewho confides that her grandmother, in addition to being very “disappointed”, finds herself “disturbed” by what happened to her. Especially since a few days before New Year’s Eve, the latter will have nothing to offer her grandchildren and great-grandchildren aged 3 to 7 years old.
