The Christmas holidays are approaching and will mark the end of the first part of the school year. For 3rd grade students, this is also the time when we start to think seriously about our direction. So to help you find your way, the public high schools of South Finistère are organizing a forum at the Pierre-Jakez Hélias university center in Quimper, on Saturday January 18, 2025.
Not just for 3rd graders
In total, around twenty establishments, from Pont-de-Buis to Concarneau via the Pays Bigouden, will be present to present their general professional or technological training. “In addition to the maritime and agricultural sectors, some like the cinema-audiovisual section in Douarnenez or the history of arts option in Concarneau are unique in the sector,” says Adeline Joly, specifying that the forum takes place a few weeks before the first open days of high schools.
Furthermore, the establishments emphasize the interest that the event can have for high school students wishing to reorient themselves. “And we even encourage 4th grade students to come and discover all our training courses. You don’t have to wait until the end of middle school to become interested in what you want to do,” insists Nolwenn Lemée, principal of Pierre-Stéphan middle school in Briec.
