The firefighters were called a little after 10 p.m., on the evening of Tuesday December 10, 2024, for an apartment fire in the town of Saint-Pierre-du-Chemin (Vendée). The fire started from the kitchen of this accommodation located on the first floor. A 40-year-old man, who had escaped through the window, was transported to the Fontenay-le-Comte hospital center. He is slightly injured.
The 18 firefighters mobilized were able to bring the fire under control using two hoses. Two people were evacuated from adjoining housing during the intervention.
