a triple story of successful business transfer

It is the story of three companies from Indre which do not know each other but which have one thing in common: that of having succeeded in the delicate transition of the transmission (or resumption) of their company when the time of retirement comes or when it is time to make new choices.

These three stories were told on the occasion of the second business takeover evening co-organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Indre, the Chamber of Trades and Crafts and the Chamber of Agriculture, Monday December 9, 2024, in Châteauroux.

“It’s a real comfort for me, there is a safety net, we are not alone”

Three stories and three very different sectors: agriculture, crafts and industry. The first story is that of Yann, a young agricultural employee who “was a little bored” and who dreamed of having his own farm. How to do it? Set up alone? Going into the unknown?

Frédéric and Véronique Jouhannet, limousine breeders in Parnac, where he works as part of an employers' group, advised him to join forces with someone to get started. “Finally, Yann came back to see us and said: we could do it together”says Frédéric, a little surprised but seduced by the idea of passing on his business via an eight-month sponsorship formula. Since 2021, Yann has held “a third of the store”, and the couple whose two children were not interested in the takeover are looking at the future more calmly while recalling the importance of “work together” to successfully complete this transmission. The young farmer is delighted: “It’s a real comfort for me, there’s a safety net, we’re not alone. »

In Issoudun, the transmission will be family at the Lavenu bakery. David is passing it on to his nephew Tom Guignard. “The procedures have been launched for a year and a half”says the young entrepreneur who will soon take over the business with her friend Chloé Autier, saleswoman. Tom Guignard knows the Lavenu bakery by heart; he did his apprenticeship there before going to work elsewhere for a few years. Back in Issoudun, the handover takes place in good conditions. Tom still appreciates his uncle's presence. “That he’s there is rather reassuring. » Before the big jump.

“A beautiful story of friendship”

The last story of the evening is “a beautiful story of friendships”. It’s Manon Dadzie who says it. Manager of Lantier Logistique in Châteauroux, she did not want this family company to disappear after the retirement of her father, François Desplanques. “But I couldn’t see myself taking over the business on my own. » It was then that Bruno Van de Wandel and Anaïs Vert appeared in the landscape, a couple of friends who suggested that Manon join Lantier Logistique. Bruno draws on fifteen years of experience as a logistics manager in another Castelroussian company, and Anaïs benefits from extensive commercial experience.

Their testimony reassures those who want to get into a business with friends. “Our trio worked with the banks”notes Manon Dadzie. Obviously everything was not simple and clear in putting together the file, but as Anaïs Vert points out, “I don’t regret anything and I won’t go back.”
