A decision from the Aix-en-Provence Court of Appeal confirms that the two orcas from the Marineland park in Antibes cannot be transferred before the results of a legal expertise ordered in 2023, the NGO One Voice announced in West France.

La Cour d’appel d’Aix-en-Provence a confirmé ce jeudi 5 décembre 2024 que les orques de Marineland à Antibes ne pourront pas être transférées tant qu’une expertise judiciaire ordonnée en 2023 pour connaître leurs conditions de vie n’était pas terminée, selon l’ONG One Voice à Ouest-France.
« La cour confirme l’ordonnance entreprise en toutes ses dispositions [et] orders SAS Marineland to pay the One Voice association the sum of 6,000 euros on the basis of article 700 of the code of civil procedure”, explains the decision of the Court of Appeal that West France was able to consult.

“We need to treat the two orcas who are very sick”
This association obtained this suspension at the beginning of the year at first instance. Marineland appealed.
