Apparently, Mathieu Bluntzer was walking his dog when he was verbally attacked by a teenager. He then allegedly took a few punches. The police were immediately notified and dispatched a patrol to the scene. Officials also arrested a suspect, a 17-year-old teenager.
Filing a complaint
During his hearing, he allegedly insinuated that he was unaware that his opponent was an elected official from Bavillier. He was released pending further investigation. The police wanted to view the recordings from the video surveillance cameras. The idea is to check how the facts unfolded and whether the accused acted alone or with associates.
The deputy filed a complaint and took the opportunity to thank the police for their diligence. His attack was deemed intolerable and unacceptable by the mayor of the town, Eric Koberlé, who contacted the Belfort public prosecutor's office and the prefecture.
