The La Roche-sur-Yon judicial court sentenced a 61-year-old from Vendée on Thursday for insults and violence against several firefighters. According to Actu.frthe man was drunk when he uttered insults and threats towards the emergency services, in Saint-Hilaire-de-Voust (Vendée).
The facts date back to August 11. In the middle of the afternoon, the firefighters were called to an intervention at the home of an intoxicated couple. When they arrived, the woman reported having been hit by her partner. The firefighters then alerted the police, who arrived a few minutes later.
False declaration and attempted punch
When she saw the police, the woman reconsidered her remarks and claimed not to have been beaten. The firefighters and police then leave, ensuring that everything is under control. But later in the afternoon, another call came from that home.
This time, the woman declares that her companion is having a cardiac arrest. The firefighters then decide to inspect him, but the man, drunk, appears aggressive. A punch is narrowly avoided by one of them. The sixty-year-old receives 70 hours of community service to be carried out over the next 18 months. If they are not carried out, they will turn into four months in prison.
