The turnout in the second round of the legislative elections, higher than in the first round in Loir-et-Cher, was not beneficial to the RN candidate, Marine Bardet, in the first constituency. She collected 39.80% of the votes cast, or 21,378 votes, compared to 35.22% a week earlier. “We scared the voters too much by telling them that if the RN won, it would be civil war. It is hanging over our heads but it will not be because of us,” she says.

Regarding her opponent’s score, she has only one formula: “To conquer without peril is to triumph without glory. I wish Mr. Fesneau much courage in having to work in a government of alliance with Mr. Mélenchon’s friends. France will unfortunately be ungovernable. It is a sad fate that awaits us. The only thing we wanted was to govern to straighten out France which is in a sad state.”

“I’m thinking about the municipal elections in 2026”

By analyzing the scores in their territory more precisely, Marine Bardet and her deputy Cédric Pelé are delighted with the results recorded in the Cher Valley. In the commune of Controis-en-Sologne, the RN candidate totaled 51.73% of the votes cast. In Montrichard-Val-de-Cher, she counted 45.98% of the votes. The Blaisois was more favorable to his opponent, who came out on top in Vineuil, Blois, La Chaussée-Saint-Victor and Saint-Gervais-la-Forêt. “The mayor of Blois called for a large vote in the first round for Mr. Fesneau, the Minister of Agriculture, who, I remind you, has nevertheless put all our farmers on the streets. He represents seven years of social chaos and judicial laxity. Despite this, he still got through. I did what I could. I tried to talk to my voters. I went to meet them. Unfortunately, perhaps not enough to convince massively.”

Marine Bardet gives an appointment to voters: “We continue, we don’t give up. I’ll be there next time. I’m thinking about the municipal elections in 2026.”
