The Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) participated as the main sponsor of the third edition of Qatar Travel Mart (QTM) from November 25 to 27 in Doha.
This participation is part of the Qatar-Morocco Years of Culture 2024, said the ONMT in a press release, noting that on the sidelines of this Show, Morocco won the prize for Best cultural experience, a consecration for the Office which is working to promote Morocco as a premier tourist destination.
An unmissable annual event for the global travel and tourism industry, the 2024 edition of Qatar Travel Mart highlighted the latest trends in MICE tourism, business, leisure, luxury, etc., the press release said.
The ONMT ensured a significant presence by maximizing the use of the event’s communication supports and by actively participating in the various side-events organized, underlines the press release, noting that this show was an opportunity to unveil the cultural assets and Moroccan tourists to an audience made up of professionals, operators and opinion leaders.
A strategy that is all the more important as this show brought together key players in the industry, notably tour operators, airlines, and companies specializing in travel technologies, adds the same source.
Thus, the ONMT aimed to create strategic alliances with major players in the Qatari tourism sector, by strengthening Qatari and regional operator partnerships to position Morocco as an essential destination for Qatari travelers.
The ONMT took advantage of this show to highlight the Moroccan cultural riches which are currently on display as part of the “Years of Culture”, notably the Dar El Maghreb Pavilion erected on the MIA esplanade and the exhibition “The splendors of the Atlas” which invites you to discover the essence of Morocco through 200 rare pieces.
An initiative aimed at strengthening relations between nations and their peoples, “Years of Culture” has designated Morocco as a partner of Qatar for this year 2024.
The year is punctuated by a program of major artistic exhibitions, festivals and cultural events in each of the two countries and contributes to the influence of Morocco in Qatar and throughout the region.
