Facing the explosion of veterinary costsof thefood and the increase in abandonmentsthe AVA-Agir pour la vie animale association and the National Confederation for the Defense of Animals (CNDA) are joining forces with the Maxi Zoo network of pet stores to launch a national solidarity collection.

Until Saturday November 30, 2024a sale of solidarity shopping bags is organized on the brand's online store, but also in the stores of Province, -Cesson, Lieusaint, Dammarie-lès-Lys, Pontault-Combault, service, Varennes-sur-Seine, , Mareuil-lès-, Torcy et Claye-Souilly.

The difficult economic context et persistent inflation indeed impact the use of generosity, a situation which affects associations which face a decrease in donationswhile having to manage the increase in costs linked to their activities.

Allow funding for accommodation and veterinary care

In this tense situation, AVA and Animal Defense, a confederation which supports more than 270 associations and shelters in are counting more than ever on the success of this large national collection :

“The help provided by Maxi Zoo is vital for our association,” recalls Thierry Bedossa, president of AVA. Each year, the funds collected during the brand's solidarity operations make it possible toimprove the quality of accommodation of our protégés, and contribute to their veterinary costs, at a time when health bills accumulate for several thousand euros. Without Maxi Zoo, we would not see the end of it. »

The solidarity shopping bags are made in toile grand format and are put on sale for €3.95 the unit, on which 1,50 € per bag sold is donated to both associations partners, i.e. all of the profits. “Since 2014, €953,000 has been donated to associations working for the well-being of animals in need or to strengthen the owner/animal relationship,” explains Maxi Zoo.

“The sums that will be collected will support our solidarity relief fundconcludes Sabine Fghoul, president of the CNDA. This allows us to help the most vulnerable shelters and associations in our network, throughout France! »
