This year again, the Transaltitude network will return to ski resort routes. This service, financed by the Department and supported by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, allows you to reach most of the Isère resorts by bus. This year, the buses will run from November 30, 2024 to April 21, 2025. An offer that is diversifying for this new season.
Indeed, in addition to Grenoble, users will now be able to board from the Valence TGV station, in order to reach the Vercors ski areas and from the Voiron bus station towards Le Planolet-Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse. The Gresse-en-Vercors station also joins the network from Grenoble. However, transport to the Chamrousse and Sept Laux stations will be provided by the Grenoble Area Mixed Mobility Union (Smmag).
Quatorze stations
In total, the Transaltitude network will allow mountain lovers to enjoy fourteen Isère resorts, ranging from family estates to high mountain resorts: Les Deux-Alpes, l'Alpe d'Huez, L'Alpe du Grand Serre, Auris-en-Oisans, Autrans, Corrençon-en-Vercors, Gresse-en-Vercors, Lans-en-Vercors, Le Planolet-Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse, Méaudre, Oz 3300, Vaujany, Villard-de-Lans, Villard-Reculas.
An expansion of the territorial network which delights the Department: “This transport contributes to the attractiveness of our territories”, assures Nathalie Faure, deputy vice-president for mountains.
In addition to offering a less polluting alternative to the car, this transport network offers attractive prices to travelers… And skiers. In fact, the skiline pack, including round-trip coach transport and the alpine or Nordic ski pass, is available from 20 euros per day for a day of Nordic skiing in Gresse-en-Vercors. To enjoy the slopes of Deux-Alpes, the price rises to 56 euros.
This service, which attracts nearly 100,000 people each winter, is provided by the transport company VFD. A partnership with the Department and the Region renewed for the next six seasons.
