We present to you the Haras construction site in Annecy which will host the international city of animation in 2025.
Annecy is the world capital of animation. A position which will be confirmed in a year with a unique place which will see the light of day: an international entertainment city, in the heart of Annecy on the site of the former rehabilitated national stud farms. The project started almost a year ago and will be completed at the end of 2025.
One of the 3 major projects in Annecy
The stud farm is moving forward in Annecy. This project is one of the municipality's major projects in the heart of the city. It is the only one with concrete progress in this triptych Stud / Town Hall / Marquisats swimming pool. Work began almost a year ago to rehabilitate this immense heritage site (with listed buildings) and make it a place to live.
A place open to Annecy residents
It will host a park, a gourmet market and the International City of Animation Cinema in connection with the festival and the entire animation industry in Haute-Savoie. It provides exhibition spaces (fixed and temporary) as well as a screening room with more than 300 seats, artist residencies and even a bookstore boutique.
Entertainment all year round
The objective of this city of animation: to make it a lively place all year round (and not only during the animated film festival in June) with real programming, welcoming the public but also schools.
