This morning, Thursday November 28, 2024, is radiant in the West, more gray and humid in the East. This very variable weather will continue throughout the morning. This afternoon, as often in recent days, cloudiness sets in over the interior of the island. The peaks, cirques and part of the coastline remain sunny. We expect more than 30°C at the edge of the lagoon.
The sky is gray this Thursday morning in the East, while the sun is shining “over a very large western half”specifies Météo-France La Réunion. The few showers which moistened the ground between Sainte-Rose and Saint-André were quickly forgotten.
This afternoon, the blanket settles in on the interior where, again, a few showers are forecast. “The coastline and cirques maintain fairly bright weather. The peaks of the island even benefit from a clear blue sky throughout the day”emphasize the forecasters.
The general flow does not weaken. This morning, gusts of trade winds (60 to 70 km/h) are sweeping the coasts of the North and the Wild South. This afternoon, the wind slows slightly (50 km/h). At times it enters La Possession bay and touches Pointe-des-Galets. Gusts (50 km/h) will also affect the heights of La Fournaise and the Plains. A breeze reigns over the West.
Temperatures are not falling. Thermometers reach 29 to 31°C (or more) on the coast, 26 to 29 in the cirques and 20°C at Maïdo and Pas de Bellecombe-Jacob.
The sea is not very rough this Thursday morning. A swell of 1 meter to 2 meters depending on the sector breaks on our coasts during the day. Conditions are deteriorating and the sea is getting rough this afternoon from Saint-Joseph to Sainte-Rose.
