This Monday, Lot-et-Garonne firefighters came to the aid of a young man in respiratory arrest, the victim of an unusual road accident. According to the first elements, the latter fell from a moving car, which, given the seriousness of the injuries, must have been driving at high speed. He was evacuated in a state of absolute emergency, reports the site Actu.fr.
The events took place on departmental road 102 near the town of Saint-Vite. For a reason still unknown, the 23-year-old man, a passenger, jumped or fell from a moving vehicle. Emergency services arrived on site around 11 p.m. to provide first aid.
Helicoptered to the CHU Pellegrin in Bordeaux
The victim is alone and in respiratory arrest. The firefighters successfully performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Stabilized, the young man was transported in a state of absolute emergency to the Villeneuve-sur-Lot health center.
However, as the victim's condition did not improve, the doctors decided to transfer her to the CHU Pellegrin in Bordeaux, located 150 kilometers away. Given the urgency of the situation, a helicopter transfer is necessary. A journey completed in less than 30 minutes. For their part, the police have opened an investigation to understand the exact circumstances of this accident.
