The inhabitants of the northeast Gard are likely to hear loud noises during the day of Thursday, November 28. It is neither a alien attack nor a illegal rave party in a difficult to access part of the territory.
Many municipalities including Bagnols-sur-Cèze, Chusclan, Issirac, Le Garn et Pont-Saint-Esprit are concerned.
In the neighboring department of Drôme, a nuclear incident simulation will take place within the central Tricastin. Preventive alarms will be triggered on this occasion.
An official preventive announcement
The Prefecture of Gard communicated at the start of the day, Wednesday November 27, about this imminent exercise.
« The mermaids of the Population Alert and Information System (SAIP) will be triggered and can be heard in the north-east of the department,” indicates the State representative in Gard, on his social networks.

The Prefecture invites the population to don't panic. “It’s just aboutan exercise. No action is not required from the population,” said the Prefect.
