Solidarity box operations are returning to the SQY metropolitan area as Christmas approaches. These made-up boxes generally include an unused piece of clothing/accessory for the winter, a hygiene or care product, a food product (non-perishable), an object for leisure (book, card game, etc.) and a note or a drawing, are offered to families and the most deprived people, so that everyone can celebrate Christmas with dignity. In Coignières, the operation runs until December 13. “Intended for children and adults, said boxes will be hand-delivered by CCAS agents, a few days before the end-of-year holidays,” specifies the municipality. Boxes can be dropped off at the town hall, at the CCAS or at the Farandole leisure center, during opening hours. More information on 01 34 61 45 75 or at [email protected]. The town of Maurepas also invites its residents to make solidarity boxes, specifying “to decorate the box by writing on it if it is intended for a man, a woman, a child or if it is mixed”. Residents can then drop them off at the solidarity space, located at Square de la Marche, until December 1st.
