The weather of the last few days definitely has its share of surprises in store for us. Only a few days ago, snow fell in several French departments. Videos of Paris covering herself in her most beautiful white coat have gone around the world.

Weather: after the snow, mildness
It was difficult to imagine us spending such a mild weekend after the snow of the last few days. And yet, especially in the south of France, citizens were outside, enjoying the sun and pleasant temperatures.
In the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Pau recorded an incredible 26.3°C in the middle of the night, while values of 20 to 22°C were displayed in several southern regions, notably in Roussillon.

On Monday, these exceptional temperatures were still there ahead of a rainy front crossing France from west to east. These conditions, well above seasonal norms, obviously remind us of the impact of climate change.. Certainly, this weather is pleasant. However, it is far from meeting the standards.
Falling temperatures?
However, seasonal norms will quickly take over. And, little by little, the weather will abandon the mildness. Today, Tuesday November 26, the French note a significant drop in temperatures. Nothing alarming though. Simply, the weather is getting closer to seasonal norms.
As an example, it’s 10°C in Metz or Reims. In Paris and Nantes, temperatures fluctuate between 11 and 13°C. Finally, in Ajaccio, on the other hand, the Indian summer continues exceptionally. The island of beauty offers its inhabitants a nice temperature of 21°C.
The weather is very different between the north and the south. While rain and gray skies predominate in the north, it is the sun that shines in the south.
Dry and cold weather at the end of the week
At the end of the week, the return of high pressure will bring calm, dry and sunny weather to most of the country. After the morning fogs dissipate, particularly in the northern plains, the days will be cold, but bright.

Maximum temperatures will no longer exceed 10°C in the north and could even drop below this bar in certain regions. However, no snowfall in the plains is expected this week. A hope that the weather forecasts do not rule out.
