The Vaucluse gendarmerie shed light on an illegal dumping of vehicles in a field in Thor. According to Bleu, this Wednesday, November 20, during an intervention, nearly 40 vehicles in wreckage were removed from the“wild” space.

The latter were stored in conditions which violate strict rules relating to waste management and environmental protection.

An open-air site, a source of pollution

Found on the ground in an agricultural field, the abandoned vehicles represented a real threat to the local environment. The wrecks, often filled with dangerous substances such as oils, brake fluids or used batteries, were stored without any protection against leaks and damage.

One type of storage at a time illegal et risqué for fauna and flora.

The company responsible for this open-air automobile scrapyard is now under investigation for seven offenses linked to environmental damage.
