Montpellier mountains placed on orange alert from tomorrow Wednesday July 3

On Wednesday July 3, the areas near the city will be placed under orange alert: fire and forest fire.

Work is permitted between 5h and 12h subject to the use of a fire extinguishing and prevention device. Combine harvesters are permitted between midnight and noon. Montpellier Zoo remains open except for the back of the park. The Lez reserve and the Montmaur woods are closed to the public.

During this period of risk of forest fires (June 15 to September 15), the Montpellier town hall reminds people of the basic safety instructions.90% are of human origin“.
