The first of the Wednesdays at Vauban will recall, this July 3, the texts of “Nougaro the eternal”.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the death of Claude Nougaro, Alsina quartet will perform his best songs this Wednesday in the courtyard of Fort Vauban in a show in the colours of Toulouse, especially as the widow of the poet of words will be present at this performance.

Accompanied by Laurent Beq (accordion), Pascal Rollando (percussion) and Serge Lopez (guitar), Jean-Marie Alsina will make his voice vibrate for “a witchy love for Nougaro”. This show takes up an older version, and revisits it in the light of the new sound colors that our musical universe has acquired. Jean-Marie Alsina readily proclaims: “The first time I heard Claude Nougaro, I was transported by his world, his voice, his words, his power… We can’t explain why an artist touches you, gives you emotion, but the feeling is so strong that we can’t help but share it.”

A highlight that the people of Alès will love to share, especially since the oldest ones had the privilege of seeing and hearing him on the stage of the Théâtre du Cratère in Alès, for his final performances of “The fables of my fountain”.

This Wednesday, July 3, at 9 p.m., in the courtyard of Fort Vauban. Free. Limited number of places.
