On June 29, 200 demonstrators gathered in Mulhouse to show their support for Christian Tein. This well-known figure among Caledonians has been indicted and is being held in custody awaiting trial. The Kanak leader must answer these charges: counts of complicity in attempted murder and criminal association with a view to preparing a crime.

Material damage and 9 deaths during the riots

For almost four weeks, manifestations violent have shaken the New Caledonia. A reform of the electoral body has set the powder alight.
