A 40-year-old man was electrocuted Monday afternoon while cutting a cedar hedge on a family member’s property in Val-Bélair.

The individual was carrying out work in an outdoor courtyard on rue de Calcutta when he allegedly touched a Hydro-Québec electrical wire.

Firefighters from the Quebec Fire Protection Service and police officers from the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) were called to the scene around 5:45 p.m.
