As part of its network maintenance program, the Interdepartmental Directorate of Northern Roads (DIR Nord) will carry out roadworks on the A34, in the municipalities of Vivier-au-court and Lumes from this Friday, July 5, 8:00 a.m. to August 2, 5:00 p.m., day and night.
The main traffic restrictions will be as follows:
Phase 1
Of
From Friday, July 5, 8:00 a.m. to Monday, July 8, 2024, 5:00 a.m.
Direction Sedan => Charleville-Mézières
- The left lane will be closed for approximately 6 km between the communes of Vivier-au-Court and Lumes.
Direction Charleville-Mézières => Sedan
- The left lane will be closed for approximately 5 km between the communes of Lumes and Vivier-au-Court.
From Monday, July 8, 5:00 a.m. to Thursday, July 25, 2024 (depending on weather conditions)
Direction Sedan => Charleville-Mézières
- Traffic will be on one lane only for approximately 6km between Vivier-au-Court and Lumes.
Direction Charleville-Mézières => Sedan
- Traffic will be completely switched to the expressway in the opposite direction for approximately 5 km between the communes of Lumes and Vivier-au-Court.
- Exit ramp No. 3 (Lumes) of interchange No. 7 will therefore be closed.
The diversion consists of continuing on the A34 towards Sedan then taking exit ramp No. 6 towards Vivier-au-Court to turn around there and find access to the A34 towards Charleville-Mézières and the desired route.
- The entrance ramp to interchange No. 7 (from the D33) will therefore be closed.
Phase 2 From the end of Phase 1 until August 2, 2024, 5:00 p.m.
The start of phase 2 is conditional on the completion of work in phase 1.
Direction Charleville-Mézières => Sedan
- The left lane will be closed for approximately 5 km between the towns of Villers-Semeuse and Vivier-au-Court.
Direction Sedan => Charleville-Mézières
- Traffic will be completely switched to the expressway in the opposite direction for approximately 4 km between the communes of Vivier-au-Court and Lumes.
- The exit ramp (Lumes) of interchange No. 7 will therefore be closed.
The diversion consists of continuing on the A34 towards Sedan then taking exit ramp No. 9 towards Villers-Semeuse to turn around there and find access to the A34 towards Sedan and the desired route.
- The entrance ramp (from the D33) to interchange No. 7 will therefore be closed.
The diversion consists of taking the entrance ramp N°4 towards Sedan, taking the exit ramp N°6 towards Vivier-au-Court to turn around there and find access to the A34 towards Charleville-Mézières and the desired route.
The investment amounts to €330,000.
