Summer workshops

Raising awareness among its visitors about the importance of protecting endangered species and preserving biodiversity is anchored in the Park’s DNA. In this approach, the Park carries out numerous educational activities, particularly with young people, such as summer workshops. Reserved for children between 5 and 12 years old, these fun activities allow them to become familiar with flora and fauna. They are only accessible by reservation (contact: 03 69 77 65 67) at a cost of €20 (it is strongly recommended to register your child as soon as possible because the workshops fill up quickly); the amount is donated to the conservation programs supported by the Park.

Fun activities for children

4 workshops will take place during the month of July: “Meeting the herbivores” (Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., ages 6-12), “The little monkeys” (Wednesday, July 10 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., ages 5-8), “Gifts for parrots” (Wednesday, July 17 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., ages 6-12) and “Meeting the piscivores” (Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., ages 6-12).

ANIMAL MEETINGS

Throughout the season, several animal events are offered to the public every day (from April to September). A guide from the Zoological and Botanical Park awaits visitors in front of the enclosure at the time indicated on the information boards at the entrance. He presents to the participants the characteristics of the animal, its diet, whether or not it is concerned by a conservation program, etc. and answers questions from interested parties.

A moment of exchange and sharing

In the autumn and winter period, from October to March, the keepers take over from the animators. In addition, the Park also schedules two free botanical visits carried out by the Green Spaces department of the City of Mulhouse: “The original foliage” (Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 2:30 p.m.) and “The Hydrangea collection” (Saturday, September 4, 2024 at 2:30 p.m.).
