OCP also provides treated water via seawater treatment and desalination plants to cities severely affected by water stress such as Safi and El Jadida. “It should be noted that the only recourse for a city like Safi is the water treated and supplied by OCP. This seawater goes through a clean desalination process, using renewable energies, and a pioneering technology that consists of filtering seawater with ceramic filters instead of sand filters,” we still read.
