The question of the day: could the Ottawa Senators really part ways with Thomas Chabot? There are many rumors and speculations about this, and just recently, a potential list of the ten teams Chabot would not want to play for was posted online.

Let’s remember that Chabot has a no-trade clause attached to his contract and if Steve Staios decides to take him out of his chessboard, the Brigadier must submit this list of teams that he wants nothing to do with.

Here are the teams in question that appear on this little directory provided by Thomas Chabot: Montreal, Florida, Tampa Bay, Carolina, Dallas, Vegas, Nashville, Los Angeles, San Jose and Anaheim. Note that this information was disclosed by Shawn Simpson (The Sick Podcast).

Chabot does not seem to appreciate the warm sunshine that Florida and California offer, just as he must not be fond of the winter temperatures of Ottawa and Montreal.

After Jakob Chychrun who piled his clothes in a big suitcase, will it be Thomas Chabot’s turn to pack his bags? The question deserves to be asked simply like this since the Ottawa Senators seem to want to remodel their business model a bit.

That said, last season, Chabot had a 30-point record, including nine goals, in 51 games. Chabot’s main problem isn’t on the ice, but rather the fact that he often finds himself in the infirmary, having not played a full season since joining the show.

Recall that Chabot, 27, pockets an annual salary of $8 million until the end of the 2028 calendar year. He signed a $64 million deal in September 2019.
