It is at number 10 rue Richelieu, a stone's throw from the Comédie-Française and the Louvre museum, that Rivedroite opened the doors of its new boutique. Almost a year to the day after the inauguration of its first store in the Parisian Marais district, the French brand of eco-responsible bags and accessories unveils its entire universe, and more, in this new bright and contemporary location.

Designed by the duo from the ūti Architectes agency, this 100 square meter boutique spread over two floors houses a café on the first level, where customers can enjoy teas or lattes selected by the teams of Plural and enjoy pastries prepared by Café Margo. On this floor, in addition to the collections signed Rivedroite Paris, we find a selection of vinyls and magazines. The basement houses a vintage photo booth, but above all a repair and customization workshop.

Founded in 2016 by sisters Yasmine Auquier Buron (ex-L'Oréal) and Sofia Buron, as well as Aurélie Jansem, (ex-Clarins and Yves Rocher), Rivedroite Paris has displayed a very committed approach since its beginnings. Its products are made from recycled or upcycled materials. But above all they are made in Casablanca, in Morocco, by couturiers whom Rivedroite Paris supports so that they become emancipated and have their own production structure (financing their installation via a microcredit, training in the administrative part or in the process of the brand…).

If ethics and sustainability are at the heart of the brand's project, research and development is just as important. To expand its ranges and offer water-resistant bags suitable for urban use such as backpacks, Rivedroite Paris works for example with the company Mika, which collects plastics from the beaches of Morocco. Objective: to achieve the production and marketing of 100% recycled waterproof polyester yarn and fabric from collected bottles.

For its textile collection which will arrive in stores very soon, Rivedroite Paris went to Portugal for the first time. On the program: t-shirts or even fleece sweatshirts with vintage accents made from recycled cotton woven in .

In addition to the development of ranges and materials, the brand is looking to accelerate internationally. Rivedroite Paris, which today makes the majority of its sales in France and neighboring countries, is looking towards South Korea, Thailand and the United States, with the support of the public bank investment company Bpifrance, which will enter its capital in 2022.

The new Parisian boutique is also an opportunity for Rivedroite Paris to meet the needs and desires of an international clientele. “A clientele who, unlike those in Marais who are looking for practical and urban bags like banana bags, are more looking for large pieces like 48-hour bags to accompany them on their travels,” says Aurélie Jansem.

In addition to its e-commerce site and its two boutiques, Rivedroite Paris, which participates in trade shows such as Maison&Objet, is also distributed through around 400 resellers.
