The raid came after several months of investigations. Investigators from the local judicial police department of the Melun Val de Seine national police station have just put an end to the lucrative activities of a pimping network that had been operating since 2022 in the area of ​​the prefecture city. Several arrests were made last week and three men were brought before the Melun public prosecutor’s office on Thursday. They were placed under judicial supervision pending their trial. Five other people involved in this case are the subject of a criminal composition and will appear later before a delegate of the prosecutor.

It all started with a “tip” reaching the ears of the police. Via the Sexemodel site, girls would receive clients in apartments mostly rented on specialized platforms, notably rue Dajot in Melun. From there, the police, helped by the Regional Intervention Group (GIR) carried out their investigation and patiently identified the different members. They also questioned the five prostitutes from Paraguay who worked in the accommodations.

An apartment and 35,000 euros seized

Last Monday, they arrested five people in connection with the sex trade, rue Dajot, but also in Vaux-le-Pénil, Samois-sur-Seine and Villeneuve-le-Roi (Val-de-Marne). At this last address, they arrested a 41-year-old real estate agent, owner of one of the homes on rue Dajot. With an estimated value of 52,000 euros, it was seized, as well as the sum of 35,000 euros which was in his account. On Dajot Street, the police also arrested two Paraguayans aged 21 and 29. In the apartment, the search revealed 4,600 euros in cash.

In Samois-sur-Seine, they were surprised to get their hands on 1.8 kg of cannabis resin and 200 g of weed, as well as 2,000 euros. The drugs were handed over to the Fontainebleau police station which will take charge of this aspect of the case. A business which would have been in place since January 2022. During their hearings, the suspects more or less admitted the facts.
