The general meeting of the Patronage Laïque de Lorient was held on Saturday June 29 at the Ter leisure center in the presence of Fabien Audard, deputy for sports, Marc Renault, president of the PLL, the club’s supervisors and its many members.

1,054 in the five leisure centres

The PLL, for the season that is ending, has 3,462 members distributed as follows: 1,758 in the 24 sports sections, 552 in the Social Center and 1,054 in the five leisure centers. “The activity of the childhood sector this year has experienced an impressive growth of 12%, underlined Marc Renault. We have hosted more than 30,000 children’s days this year. Financial means must be found to guarantee this offer: establishing financial balances is a constant concern.”

Across all sectors, the professional team has 32 full-time equivalent employees (for 227 employees) and also highlights the work of volunteers: “More than 26,000 hours of volunteer commitment per year, which corresponds to almost 18 full-time positions.”

Three new sections

Among the new activities, the club is registering three new sections: meditation, Vo Vietnam and Scottish dancing. On the sporting side, the club has achieved good results: a French champion title for Pauline Tribalier in French boxing, the great performance of the football team in Gambardella and numerous participations in French championships in karate, tennis, canoeing. -kayak and kendo. As for the social center, it is engaged in reflection on the future of Frébault, currently under restructuring.
