Loire-Atlantique: he slaps his father and takes 100 euros from him, the courts condemn him

Prosecuted for violence against his father, repeat theft and unauthorized possession of narcotics on February 28, 2023 in Pontchâteau (Loire-Atlantique), a 30-year-old man, who now lives in another municipality, explained himself on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 before the Saint-Nazaire criminal court.

On February 28, 2023, the father took refuge in a bar near his home and asked to call the police.

He explains that he refused to give money to his son and that the latter put him on the ground and slapped him.

When police arrived at the home, her son was upstairs. As he was being taken away by the soldiers, a pot of heroin fell out of his jogging pants.

At the bar, the accused explained:

“The jogging suit belongs to someone I hosted, I have never used heroin and I stopped using cocaine a long time ago. »

“My father was an alcoholic, he asked me to go buy him cigarettes, I didn’t have a bank account, I withdrew 100 euros for myself», continues the thirty-year-old.

” On the right track “

The police tried several times to contact the father. In vain, he never responded.

The president seemed satisfied to see that the defendant is now “on the right track”notably having a job as a waiter.

Mr. Denis Lambert first mentioned:

“This young man did not have an easy life, after his parents’ divorce and his father’s drinking.”

But the defense lawyer especially insisted on the weaknesses of different points of the investigation: “ No verification of the hosted individual no analysis of the powder found…”

The Saint-Nazaire court followed the prosecution’s demands:six months suspended prison sentenceprobationary period of two years, sentence accompanied by several obligations and prohibitions including that of any contact with his father.
