During this campaign, some accused Rachida Dati of having herself placed this close friend in this constituency which is very favorable to Macron’s party.

In a café in the sixth arrondissement of Paris, the Minister of Culture explained on June 19 that if Gilles Le Gendre had not been invested, it was because of his votes in the National Assembly. The MP was particularly opposed to the recent immigration law. “And since 2022, he has been very critical of the government,” assured Rachida Dati, as reported The Journal of Greater Paris.
