1 minute to find a new family for… this Malinois looking for a patient family who will provide him with everything he needs.
Do you want to adopt an animal? Every morning at 7:25 a.m., the ICI Matin team on France Bleu Besançon has a mission: 1 minute to find a new family for animals in Franche-Comté shelters. Discover the portrait of a cat or dog who is just waiting for one thing: to find a new family.
The portrait of…
Valou is a resident of the Besançon SPA . This is what the trainers tell us about him:
Nom : Valou
Date of birth : 01/10/21 (3 ans)
Sex : Neutered male
Race : Malinois
Arrival at the shelter : 10/10/24 (1 month)
History : Recovered by the pound, he wandered around town.
Character : Very playful, Valou is a large dog full of life. He is curious, affectionate, and loves spending time with trustworthy humans. Very attached to his master, even a little protective… He will need an adopter who knows the breed well.
Agreements : His interactions with other dogs are a bit random. Valou will need to be properly socialized, if possible with the support of a professional. Be careful, strong predatory instinct on small dogs ⚠ Not ok with cats or other small animals. We will also avoid children.
Special needs : Valou being reactive on cars, we will favor placement in the countryside, or outskirts of town, to allow adopters to work on this problem in better conditions. Valou being a large dog full of life but also with gaps in his behavior, we will also favor placement as the only dog in the family, to allow adopters to better focus on his rehabilitation. We do not exclude a placement with another dog already present, only if it is already perfectly trained. Valou's placement with another dog will only be done if it proves to be a big bonus for Valou's rehabilitation.
Profile of adopters : Valou will need young and athletic adopters. He needs to exert himself a lot, and he is very powerful. Future adopters of Valou will necessarily have to know the breed, and this will not be their first dog.
Adoption: a decision not to be taken lightly!
Adopting from a shelter is an opportunity to give an animal another chance. It is also an immense responsibility that engages you.
- Can you make time for it?
- Do you have the budget to support a companion (food, health costs)?
- Is your living environment suitable for an animal?
Here is some advice from the “Animal Defense” Confederation for a worry-free adoption.
