There are four of them who obtained the necessary votes not to go to the second round. In Hérault, Gard and Pyrénées-Orientales, four candidates crossed the threshold of 50% of the votes and 25% of the number of registered voters, the two conditions necessary to be elected in the first round.

The first round of the legislative elections has delivered its results. Of the 23 deputies to be elected in Languedic-Roussillon, four seats were filled as of Sunday, June 30. Two in Hérault, one in Gard and one in Pyrénées-Orientales.

The outgoing MP (LFI-NFP) was re-elected in the first round with 58.22%. Robert Le Stum (Renaissaince) obtained 17.04%. Flavia Mangano (RN) came 3rd with 16.97%. The presidential party candidate, a general practitioner, was unable to turn the tide and dethrone the candidate of the left-wing coalition, who had already been elected in 2022 for Nupes.

According to INSEE, in 2019, 26.7% of the population of the 100% Montpellier district had a level below the poverty threshold (14.5% in mainland France).

Aurélien Lopez-Liguori (RN) in Hérault

The outgoing deputy of the National Rally Aurélien Lopez-Liguori was re-elected in the first round in the 7th constituency, which goes from Sète to Agde, with 51.66% of the votes, ahead of Gabriel Blasco of the New Popular Front who, with 25.37% votes, is defeated. Horizons candidate Jocelyne Gizardin is third with 21.52%.

Voters in this territory will therefore not return to the polls next Sunday.

Nicolas Meizonnet (RN) in Gard

The outgoing MP (RN) won in the 2nd constituency which has around 96,000 voters, a true bastion of the extreme right, which fell into the hands of the National Rally in 2012, with the election of Gilbert Collard.

He is ahead of Katy Guyot (PS) at 23.9%, Sophie Pellegrin-POnsole (Horizons) at 14.1% and Catherine Bolle at 6.3%)


The second constituency of Gard is a stronghold of the National Rally. The candidate Nicolas Meizonnet was elected deputy in the first round.

Anaïs Sabatini (RN) in the Pyrénées-Orientales

She is the first to have known her fate during the evening. The counting in the 2nd constituency of the Pyrénées-Orientales did not leave much room for doubt. The outgoing RN MP Anaïs Sabatini was elected in the first round in the 2nd constituency of the Pyrénées-Orientales with 54.98%. The results are final, 100% of the ballots have been counted.
