Motorists should drive more slowly in the area.

An accident between two vehicles occurred on rue des Saguenéens around 4 p.m. Sunday. The drivers were transported to the Chicoutimi hospital for evaluation.

The accident occurred at the intersection of rue des Saguenéens and rue des Grands-Ducs.

The police and paramedics quickly arrived on the scene, as did around ten firefighters who came to provide reinforcements.
“We transported two patients to the hospital, both drivers, to have them assessed. They were in very stable condition so we don’t fear for their lives at all,” explained Mathieu Boulianne, operations supervisor at the Coopérative des techniciens ambulanciers du Québec, specifying that the cars were in a 50 km/h zone.
Traffic is currently slightly disrupted.
