As a result of the snow and wind, the sails will be reduced for the Saint-Hubert festival in Arc-en-Barrois this weekend.
The weather is playing another dirty trick on the residents of Arc-en-Barrois. After the hail during the summer of 2023… Snow this year! Even if the harm is less serious, the celebration of Saint-Hubert will be disrupted.
Two thirds of the marquees installed around the castle specifically to host the celebrations collapsed under the weight of the snow – around 20 cm. Constrained, the organizers therefore made the decision to reduce the size of this 2024 edition.
Part of the capitals have been preserved and these will be closed and heated. The auction is being held on Friday November 22 from 8 p.m.
The local market and game sale will open on Saturday November 23 from 2 p.m., only with a few local exhibitors. The hunting table (5 p.m.), mass (6 p.m.), catering and fireworks (8 p.m.) are also maintained. The ball, which was to be held on site, was however canceled due to lack of space. The local market will resume on Sunday, at 9 a.m., with a limited number of exhibitors and the sale of game will also be maintained.
