As soon as the new massacre in Rafah was announced, a call was launched for a rally on Monday May 27, 2024 which brought together 700 people in Nantes for a sit-in in front of the Prefecture.
Again, Wednesday May 29, 2024, a rally for Rafah brought together around 700 people in Nantes and 200 people in Châteaubriant at the call of AFPS 44 and several organizations.
During the week, several flash actions were organized by AFPS 44 activists with banners displayed on road bridges throughout the department.
Two rural communities passed motions in support of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank calling for a ceasefire.
On Saturday June 1, it was Platform 44 of which AFPS 44 is a member with various political and trade union organizations which called for massive action. After several speeches, more than 2000 people marched for a long time in the streets of the Center of Nantes behind AFPS banners. This very lively demonstration crossed the pedestrian streets of the city center of Nantes and met passers-by who often encouraged the demonstrators.
A stop in front of the opera house was the occasion for a minute of silence and several speeches.
