After the drop in temperatures and the snowy episode experienced by a large part of France, Météo France only keeps 31 departments on orange alert for snow and ice this Friday, November 22, 2024.
43 departments are, for their part, on yellow alert for risks of storms, floods, waves-submersion, avalanches and snow-ice. This is the case of Ille-et-Vilaine which switched to yellow for snow-ice.
Prudence
The day before, the department was on alert orange for snow-ice and switched to vigilance jaune from 1 p.m. for wind and snow-ice. This vigilance is maintained this Friday.
The situation is scalable, indicates the prefect of Ille-et-Vilaine on his X account (ex-Twitter), which also gives some advice to apply in case of yellow alert:
- Find out about road conditions if you have to drive;
- Be careful in risk areas et adapt your driving ;
- Store or secure objects sensitive to the effect of wind and be vigilant of possible falling objects.
