Firefighters fought for several hours to put out the flames. It was shortly after 9 p.m. on Wednesday November 20 when they were alerted for a violent fire having broken out in a pavilion on rue Léon-Giraudeau, in Bouffémont (Val-d'Oise).
When they arrived, the two occupants had left the house. Slightly poisoned by fumesthey were taken care of by the firefighters, a woman having been transported in an emergency to the Eaubonne hospital.
Two lances deployed
At the same time, firefighters deployed two lances to put out the flames. Despite their intervention, the pavilion was completely destroyed by the disaster. While firefighters investigating the causes and circumstances of the fire were mobilized to determine the origin of the fire, according to initial findings, it was caused by a faulty electrical device.
