Prefect Étienne GUYOT ordered this morning the evacuation of the SCASO large distribution platforms (SOC CENTRAL SUPPLY SOUTH WEST) and Auchan in the commune of Beychac-et-Caillau. The Gendarmes intervened to clear the two platforms without use of force and without incident.
The sites have been accessible again since 10:30 a.m. Some farmers remain in the area without this hindering the normal activity of the platforms and the National Gendarmerie is still on site. Traffic may occasionally be disrupted in the area; road users must remain vigilant.
In the Bassens sector, Rural Coordination 47 occupies certain roundabouts in the port area including that of the Ambès Petroleum Docks (DPA). This occupation generates significant disruption, so motorists are recommended to avoid the area.
The Departmental Operational Center (COD) is activated in the prefecture. State services are in contact with the demonstrators and the main economic operators in the area to resolve this situation as quickly as possible.
