The drama unfolded on Wednesday November 20 late in the morning in Chavelot (Vosges).
The victim, a 34-year-old salesman, was killed in a house where two brothers aged 71 and 73 lived. The oldest was absent at the time of the events, according to information from Vosges Morning.
What happened in this house? The circumstances of the tragedy still remain unclear, but according to our colleagues, the salesman approached the septuagenarian with whom he had already intervened on several occasions for “carrying out small jobs in the home”. He was shot with a shotgun, and was reportedly hit with two 12-gauge bullets in the back. Several hunting weapons were found at the suspect's home.
The shooter would have denounced himself after the commission of the facts. He was taken into custody for murder.
According to the Epinal public prosecutor, cited by TF1, the victim was canvassing in several houses on the same street. An investigation was opened and entrusted to the Remiremont research brigade.
