The NASCAR Canada series continues its tour of the Maritimes next weekend, with a doubleheader scheduled for the one-third mile oval in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

LL Motorsport driver Alex Labbé heads into Riverside Speedway with confidence, although he’s taking absolutely nothing for granted.

“Riverside is a track that I like, on which I have had success in the past, but it is a difficult circuit at the same time,” explains the driver from Saint-Albert. “It is a circuit that reminds me a little of the Autodrome Chaudière, but faster.”

In 2017, the year he was crowned champion of the Canadian NASCAR series, Labbé triumphed in Antigonish. Two years earlier, he finished second.

“Following the problems we had at Vallée-Jonction at the beginning of the month, we made several adjustments to the car. I’m confident that it’s paying off.” But we repeat, Labbé takes nothing for granted.

“The most important thing, first of all, is to finish the race. Then, if we have a chance of being on the podium, we’ll go for it.”

A first 150-lap event will be presented on Saturday afternoon and a second the following day.

Both races can be followed live on FloRacing and on TSN +.
