This Wednesday, November 20, 2024, Météo France placed 28 departments, from West to East, on orange alert, for a risk of snow and ice. The alert is valid from this Thursday midnight until midnight and concerns in particular the Vosges, Aube, Haute-Marne and Haut-Rhin. The other departments of the Grand Est are on yellow alert for the moment.
“We expect 2 to 5 cm in the plains, locally up to 10 cm above 200/300m, and up to 15 to 20 cm in the east of Franche-Comté”writes Météo France.
The Caetano depression is preparing to cross France from Brittany to the Grand Est. If the other departments of the region are still placed on yellow alert this Wednesday, “an extension of this vigilance to some neighboring departments nevertheless remains possible in future updates”specifies Météo France.
