It is in place of an old brewery in the Figuerolles district that Joseph and Ronan set up their urban cellar.

Accomplices in the city as well as in the vineyard, Joseph and Ronan are completing nine months of work to transform an old brewery into a real winery in the heart of the Figuerolles district.

It’s a place where we go to vinify and process the grapes but also buy wine and some evenings taste our products. “, explains Ronan Dumoulin, organic winemaker of the Calade de Saint-Geniès in Saint-Jean-de-Fos. “For two years we have been making wine with Joseph not far from here, without visibility, so we decided to open this place where we will share equipment, labor and work together while each making our own wine.

Joseph Le Blanc, who has taken over vines in Clapiers, now in the third year of organic conversion, describes this urban winery covering 70 m²: “There will be seven vats but also a press, a destemmer, pumps, all the equipment to make wine in town“.

A tasting place

But it’s also a place.”open to the public every Friday evening to taste and buy wine for the weekend, plus another evening of the week for cultural and artistic events. The rest of the time, it is our workplace. We want to participate in the life of this neighborhood where we come from and that we love. “Figuerolles, formerly agricultural land and vines, should regain a harvest atmosphere from the end of August.”We asked the town hall for permission to close the street while the grapes were brought in and so the residents of the neighborhood would be able to see how it’s done and even… crush the grapes!

For tasting, “we make other products such as fine wine aged in barrels, a gin which will soon be released and also a sparkling grape which we will be able to taste this Thursday, June 27” for the inaugural evening from 6 p.m. “It will be in a “summer” format with a glass that people will keep and two wines from our production to taste, accompanied by small tapas.

Consume in moderation but without hesitation! Urban winery La nouvelle Lune, 9 rue Guillaume Pellicier, 06 16 51 03 74.
