It was around 9:30 p.m. this Sunday when firefighters were informed that a man had been seriously injured, after a knife attack, in Quillan, as reported by our colleagues from La Dépêche du Midi. The events took place in a small town, located a little less than fifty kilometers from Carcassonne, in the Aude department. For the moment, the reasons for this brawl are not known.
The victim was operated on and hospitalized
According to initial information from La Dépêche, a violent altercation broke out between two men. One allegedly stabbed the other in the throat. Thus, the victim was seriously injured in the carotid artery and lost a lot of blood. The latter had to be transfused. The 35-year-old man was taken in by emergency services.
“He was operated on and is hospitalized in Toulouse, his vital prognosis is not in jeopardy, for the moment,” explained Géraldine Labialle, the public prosecutor of Carcassonne.
