This Sunday, November 17, the Antoine Cruchon Stadium in Mérignac hosted the second session of Football while Walking of the 2024/2025 season, organized by the Gironde Football District. Under a beautiful morning sun, no less than 32 participants met to share a friendly and sporting moment around this booming practice.
Walking Football is a variation of football accessible to all, where walking replaces running and where contact is limited to preserve safety and the spirit of the game. Suitable for all ages, this discipline is ideal for combining physical activity gentle, pleasure of football and exchanges between enthusiasts.
The rules of Walking Football:
- Mandatory walking : with or without a ball, running is prohibited.
- No tackles or direct contact.
- The ball must remain below hip level.
Under a blue sky, between laughter, adjusted passes and small challenges, this morning was a great success for this booming practice, punctuated by a relaxed atmosphere and numerous exchanges between the participants.
